Prestigious Academic Publisher to Make Scholarly and General Interest Works available to Libraries and Other ebrary Channels Worldwide

February 11, 2002 – Mountain View, CA – ebrary™ (www.ebrary.com), a leading provider of information distribution and retrieval services, today announced that Princeton University Press will make hundreds of front-list and back-list titles available through its online channels. Among other benefits, the agreement will enable libraries to give their patrons multi-user access to professional, scholarly, and general non-fiction titles from the convenience of their computers, while presenting new distribution opportunities for Princeton.

“This new partnership with ebrary supports Princeton’s mission to disseminate scholarship within academia and to society at large,” said Adam Fortgang, Marketing Director of Princeton University Press. “Using ebrary’s breakthrough technology and distribution channels, we can achieve this goal by providing a secure, efficient way to deliver our copyright-protected works to researchers, students and other professionals.”

“Princeton publishes works of inestimable value and importance on numerous topics ranging from American history to physics,” said Christopher Warnock, CEO of ebrary. “This partnership will greatly add value to our offering to libraries, corporations and other institutions that need to provide patrons, students and researchers with access to valuable and authoritative information.”
